The Ph.D thesis titled ""Laminar-Turbulent Transition of Mixed Convection Flows in a Vertical Tube". He investigated the pressure drop, heat transfer, and flow characteristics in the simultaneously developing transitional flow regime, both numerically as well as experimentally.
